This will put you at a slight disadvantage. The ability to move around on the map quickly is much more powerful than the ability to tank one to two extra bullets. It has been proven multiple times that in siege more speed is better than more armor. She is a three armor-one speed, which is not advantageous. The only real additional information that you need on Gridlock is her armor-speed ratio. Some map knowledge is required for this gadget, since you’ll want to throw it in common flanks or choke points to prevent rotations. The information gathering aspect to this gadget that I think a lot of people have missed makes it a very powerful tool in the hands of someone who knows how to use it. And as anybody who’s played R6 for a good amount of time can tell you, making noise as a defender, especially if trying to retake the objective, is almost a guarantee that the attackers will be holding an angle against you. What makes them powerful is that the defender either has to go around or make noise to destroy them. The thing that makes these so powerful is not that it causes damage or gets in the way they’re actually very easy to destroy. ![]() In the hands of a capable player (not me) the Stingers are usually used to protect against flanks and prevent retakes of the objective. All of these things are less than desirable for the defenders. It causes 10 damage to any defender for each Stinger hit, slows them down, and makes noise. Gridlock has three canisters of Stingers, which can be thrown out and will deploy over a fairly large area. The initial leaked image of the Trax Stingers ![]()
